Free Technology for Teachers: Engage Students in History With Fake Facebook and Fake SMS
What do you think about Fake FB and  Fake SMS?
Are you going to use it?
 Applications for Education
Creating a fake Facebook profile could be a fun way for students to organize information that they know and or find about a famous person. You could also have students create profiles for characters in a novel that they are reading for your literature course. Take a look at the Fakebook profile gallery for more ideas about using Fakebook in your classroom.
You could have students use the Classtools SMS Generator to create simple conversations between historical characters as way to get them to think about those peoples' lives and the conversations that they might have had.

Halina's Webinar August 30th 2014

Presentation is about my presence online and Sessions on WizIQ. Therefore, I would like to take advantage of VC’s tools and have a genuine contact with participants. I will try dynamically engage attendees in discussion. Consequently, they should be ready to use microphones and webcams because communication in the chat box is not authentic enough for me.

Right now, there are about 6 such classes every week (or 25 classes a month) and all focus on improving Spoken English of learners. Of these 6 classes, 2 of them are beginner level, 2 of them intermediate level and 2 of them advanced level. Each of these classes use non-traditional teaching methods like songs, plays, jokes, role plays etc.
